Master Sergeant Cameron R. Voorhees
The Air Force Band of Flight
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH

Dear Cameron,
Congratulations on your retirement from the Air Force after many years of service to our country and the Air Force. You’ve contributed so much to the defense and security of our nation and have much to be proud of for your service. I’m equally proud to have served with you for several of your years in the Air Force!

Cameron–you’re a consummate musician and senior leader. Over the years, I’ve had plenty of people who succeed in one area or another, but few succeeded in all of them like you did. When it came down to executing the mission I always knew you would lead us to success—it made my life as commander easier knowing you were on the job. Your supporting manner and quiet demeanor brought a lot of stability to us on stage and it’s easy to take that for granted. But I want you to know it was never unnoticed by me—you made us better by your presence and musicianship.

With those traits, it’s also easy to overlook the impact you had on our lives. The way you approached your work with the utmost dedication and professionalism was a great role model for the rest of us—you inspired us to be better Airmen and have a better squadron to live, work, and play in. Thank you for that!

Your many years in the Air Force leave a legacy of service-before-self, dedication to the country, integrity, and a great impact on the people you worked with. Thank you for your service to the Air Force.

Best wishes and God Speed on your next journey in life.
